ELVIS PRESLEY' OWNED & USED PERSONAL COPY OF THE OMEN WITH INSCRIPTIONS FROM HIS PERSONAL LIBRARY

Another very private precious item. This is Elvis Presley's personal copy of the book, The Omen.

A very well documented famous piece.

Elvis would carry this book 'The Omen' with him on and off tour, he would read it on his airplane the "Lisa Marie" and read it in his bed at Graceland. He carried it with him in 1976, and during those final 1977 tours would spend alot of time with this book.

Inside the book on a number of pages Elvis wrote, made notes and also marked and underlined words.

Elvis wrote

"GOD IS WITHIN YOU... BUT KNOW THE LORD, THY WILL KNOW PEACE... ON THE LAST DAY WE WILL SEE JESUS FACE TO FACE... THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS WITHIN YOU...."

This book was auctioned on Tuesday June 25th 2002 by Alexander Autographs page 108 Lot No397.

This book also comes with a Hand signed letter (signed twice) from Elvis' stepbrother David E Stanley (sworn state of Texas)

Part of the letter reads.........

After examination of submitted item "The book Entitled The Omen," I authenticate that the markings and notes on the book's pages were made by Elvis Presley. Part of his personal library, Elvis carried this particular book with him on and off tour as seen in accompanying photo. In addition as part of his personal entourage, I often times personally carried this particular book and saw him refer to it often. I add this as further conformation that this book did belong to Elvis Presley.

I consider this a rare item and one of high collectable value
